Classroom Expectations Resource Classes: Students will complete writing journals each day Students will have vocabulary/spelling test weekly. (Unless stated otherwise.) Homework can be expected approximately 2-3 days per week. (Which can include math, reading, vocabulary, spelling.) Students will have 1 Writing BENCHMARK each quarter. Students will have Formative assessments weekly, all which will be centered on our Essential Standards that are broken into 3 quarters. At the conclusion of each quarter, students will take a quarter reading benchmark, covering all essential standards taught that quarter on Galileo. Students will have their IEP’s that determine their course work during the year; but assignments must align with the state standards.

Grading System All papers will be graded, scored, and returned to students. Reading Assignments = 20% Reading Assessments = 30% Writing Assignments = 20% Writing Assessments = 30%
