STEPS FOR EFFECTIVE STUDYING

STUDYING EFFECTIVELY IS A PROCESS, NOT AN EVENT THE PROCESS LEADS TO SUCCESS

BEFORE YOU STUDY Plan a definite time for studying every day.

Know the purpose of, and understand each assignment before leaving class.

ASK YOUR TEACHER IF YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND SOMETHING.

Predict the amount of time you need for each assigment.

Time yourself to see how long it takes you to read five pages of your texbook.

Take a little time before class to review the material, so you are prepared.

WHEN YOU GET HOME HAVE A BREAK AND REST FOR A WHILE HAVE A SNACK

READY FOR STUDY Every time you study, spend at least 10 minutes reviewing the material from your previous study session.

. Study during the day. You are probably less efficient at night.

Study for at least 30 to 40 minutes and then take a 5-minute break.
