Attendance It is CRUCIAL that your child is here and on time. We do so much that is hands on, and any time missed is impossible to fully make up. Illnesses etc. are inevitable, but please let me know why your child is missing. After repeated absences I am required to notify administration.

Whole School Rules: 1- Be Safe 2-Be Respectful & Kind 3-Be Responsible Classroom Rules: 1- Follow Directions Quickly 2- Raise your hand for permission to speak. 3- Raise your hand for permission to leave your seat 4- Make smart choices 5- Keep your dear teacher happy.

POSITIVE REINFORCEMENT! School Wide Program Classroom Economy Class Dojo

Did you know that we spend 50% of our instructional time on language arts? That includes things like phonics, reading, comprehension, writing, grammar etc. It is so important to help your child with these skills at home! Our reading program offers an online piece for home reference. Each child will receive a login card- go to the listed URL and enter the name and password. This will connect you to all sorts of resources that directly relate to what we are learning in class. You will also need to use this for your weekly homework reading selection.

1 st grade will line up near by the north-east doors! We are on the orange star closest to the doors.

We are lucky to have some special classes Monday-Thursday. Here is the schedule. MONDAY- Library (9:30 AM- remember to return books) TUESDAY – P.E (wear appropriate shoes!!) WEDNESDAY – Art THURSDAY – Computers

I will use Friday as my regular assessment day. We will have our weekly spelling tests, math assessments, and language arts assessments. My goal is to get the assessments back to you by Monday at the latest. Please avoid missing Fridays as much as possible, and let me know in advance if you will be gone!

Your help is always needed and greatly appreciated! There are a variety of ways that you can contribute to the classroom. Please sign up tonight at the long table, or you can me with your preference: - Centers (T-Th)- Homework (Fridays) - Parties (Halloween/Valentines)- Reading one-on- one (M-Th) - At home- Room Parent!!!
