Q What is solubility? A: Solubility is the maximum amount of a solute which can dissolve in a given amount of solvent at a fixed temperature

Q What are the factors that affect the solubility? A The three main factors affecting the solubility of a solute in a solvent are 1) The nature of the solute 2) The nature of the solvent 3) The temperature of the solution.

Q What is rate of dissolving? A: The rate of dissolving is the time taken for the dissolving process, from the time the solute is added to a solvent, until it has completely dissolved.

Q What are the factors that affect the rate of dissolving? A: a) Surface area of the solute b) Temperature of the solution c) The rate of stirring.
