5 Learning Activity Draw the filtration diagram into your books. The label all of the equipment show in the diagram. Flask Funnel Filter paper Beaker Once complete, show your teacher and he/she will give you the equipment to set up your filtration. (Do not start filtering until your teacher says to do so)

6 Create a mixture to filter by mixing water and sand together.
Learning Activity Create a mixture to filter by mixing water and sand together. Stir the mixture and slowly pour in into your filter paper. (Do not let it over flow the filter paper) Continue to do this until you have filtered all of your mixture. Once complete show your teacher, then he or she will give your directions for packing up.
