What is a Global Seminar? CU-Boulder faculty teaching students abroad Generally 3 credits, 3 weeks Usually offered in the summer Average program size = 10 students Course is approved by department and/or college

Components of a successful Global Seminar Counts towards major/degree requirements Maximum use of location, on-site resources, and connections with local communities Recruiting by faculty director and advisors Availability of courses taught in English or in host language for students with fluency Administrative support at host site Affordable program cost

Proposing a Global Seminar for 2017 Discuss ideas with home department Consult with Study Abroad Global Seminar team Submit proposal to Study Abroad anytime before April 1, 2016 Role of the Study Abroad Committee Course approval process in department/college
