Health protection: DPH responsibilities 1.strategic challenge to partner organisations’ health protection plans /arrangements 2.scrutinise and, as necessary, challenge performance 3.escalate concerns 4.informed/act on all local incidents and outbreaks 5.input to local authority emergency plans 6.a health protection forum

Current arrangements 1. Health Protection Forum Assure the DPH, review performance & agree actions Membership: o PHE: communicable disease & environmental hazards o NHSE: commissioning of immunisation & screening o CCGs – health care acquired infections Governance: exception reports Suffolk Health Protection Profile: performance overview 2. Local Health Resilience Partnership (LHRP) Co-chairs: Director of Public Health and NHSE Area Team ensures that the health system has robust arrangements for Suffolk’s needs. The LHRP links to the multi- agency executive level Suffolk Resilience Forum.
