African Lion By: Theo Reyes

Animal Facts Description African lions are usually brown and blond. Lions way up from 4.5 to 6.5 ft. African lions can way from 265 lbs to 400 lbs. A pic showing your animal. Movement African lions run for hunting and also for protecting there prides. African Lions can run up to 50 mph. Diet African lions are carnivores and they eat zebra, wildebeest and other large animals.

Habitat African lions live in Africa where it’s very hot and dry. The African lions live near grasslands in Africa. They have to camouflage because it helps sneak up on there prey. Map showing where your animal lives Picture showing your animal in its habitat.

Life Cycle African cubs are live birth. Lioness can give birth to 2-3 cubs at a time. It takes 110 days for a lioness to give birth to a cub. Lionesses take care of all of it’s for months. A baby cub can look blonde and brown. A special name for a baby lion is a cub. A picture of the animal as a baby or young. A picture of the animal as a grown/ mature animal. Adult lions have special groups called prides, there can be 3-30 lions in a pride. Adult men lions have manes and women lions don’t that’s how you tell who’s who. Adult lions usually live years long.

Animal Interactions Lions have sharp claws and teeth for protecting it’s self. Lions hug to communicate with each other and I think it’s meaning is to greet each other.
