Animal Facts Description Thomson’s Gazelle colors are black on the horns. They have black around the eyes then white around the black. White at the bottom of the belly black at the top of the belly. The rest of the Gazelle is tan. This Gazelle can grow to 2 feet long ,22 to 26 inches long at the shoulder! They can weigh to 35 to 55 pounds! This Gazelle has beautiful soft fur. Here is something interesting about there body, there horns have swirls in them. Diet A Thomson’s Gazelle is a herbivore. It eats grass, herbs ,leaves and roots. Sometimes it even eats seeds. Movement This Gazelle walks and runs. Sense one of its predators is a cheetah it needs to run very fast. It lives in a part of the grassland that the grass is so tall you can only see some parts of it. A baby is born during mating season. When it is ready to come out it just falls out into the mud. There is only one baby born at a time. It takes at least 5-7 months to be born. A special name for this Gazelle when it is born is called a fawn. The adults live in groups called herds. They have at least 10 Gazelles in herds. 5 Animal Interactions This Gazelle protects it self by its coat blends in with its surrounding. It communicates by following the leader. Its predators are Cheetahs, Lions, Leopards, Hunting Dogs, and humans.
