Student research opportunities in the SIVAC-project

The SIVAC-project  Aims to understand the role of enabling sectors for technological upgrading, innovation and growth in resource- based industries  Uses the Norwegian petroleum supply sector as a case, and looks at the importance of the development of this sector for development of the oil and gas industry

Key perspectives of SIVAC  Evolutionary theory of technological and economic change  Innovation systems framework – emphasis on interactive learning between diverse participants  Innovation in natural resource based industries and economies: diversification and growth based on development and use of related technological capacity

Petroleum supplier industry in NO Internationalization of technology & competences Innovation processes in the petroleum supplier industry Innovation in times of crisis Technology transfer between OG and other sectors Innovation networks Empirical foci

Opportunities for students  We seek students who have an interest in writing about innovation in the context of industry/private firms  We provide:  Access to a research team (9 persons)  Access to empirical material, including a large database of Norwegian supplier industry and other datasets  Possibilities to fund travel and field work  Possibilities for research assistant positions (with salary) to assist on SIVAC-work Interested?
