 When Atticus is discussing the case with his brother Jack he says, "Right. But do you think I could face my children otherwise? You know what's going to happen as well as I do" (Lee 88). Atticus's decision to defend Tom Robinson is not without potential consequences. In a well- organized essay explain why Atticus chooses to defend Tom Robinson and analyze the ramifications of his decision. Take into consideration his role as a parent and a community member.
