UCAS Adjustment Service – If you’ve done better than expected  If you’ve met and exceeded conditions for your firm choice, you could think about look for an alternative course.  Adjustment is available from A level results day until 31 August.  It’s optional – a lot of competitive courses will be full, but others might have missed their condition or swapped courses too.

How to use Adjustment Service  Register for Adjustment in Track  Your original UF choice will be safe until you are accepted by another university.  You can only have one adjustment offer  No vacancy list for Adjustment – you’ll need to contact Admissions office to talk about any possible vacancies.  Verbally agree an offer with a university if you’re sure you want it.  The university will add themselves to your application.  Your Track screen will be updated and you will receive the confirmation letter.

UCAS Clearing Service (July – September)  No offers? Use Clearing.  In Clearing you can see which courses have places remaining.  Clearing is available after 30 th June and could run till September. 

How Clearing Works?  Register and make an application for clearing but you cannot add course choices;  You will receive your clearing number and your Track status will say “you are in clearing”;  Search for vacancies in the UCAS search tool and contact universities to find a place.  Once you get the verbal offer, add the clearing choice and fill in the course details before the deadline.
