In addition to looking for poetic devices, we will also be using scansion symbols to determine the stress/unstressed syllables.

 A comparison between two unlike things that continues throughout a series of sentences in a paragraph or lines in a poem.

 The fog is being compared to a cat. The comparison is evident throughout. Thus, it is an extended metaphor.
