Synopsis – Act I Sir Rowland de Bois dies and his Estate is passed down to Oliver Oliver plots to kill Orlando by setting up a wrestling match with Charles Charles reports that Duke Senior has been banished by Duke Fredrick Orlando fights anonymously and defeats Charles Rosalind congratulates Orlando and they quickly develop feelings Rosalind gets banished by uncle, Duke Frederick Accompanied by Touchstone, Rosalind and Celia decide to search for Duke Senior in disguise 5

Synopsis – Act II Duke Senior resides in the forest of Arden with his followers Duke Frederick discovers the disappearances of Rosalind, Celia and Touchstone Duke Fredrick and Oliver scheme to get rid of Orlando by setting his house on fire Orlando hears of this and flees with his servant Adam to the forest of Arden Rosalind, Celia and Touchstone arrive at the forest and meet two shepherds, Corin and Silvius Orlando and Adam enter the forest and stay with Duke Senior at his Camp 6

Synopsis – Act III Duke Frederick sends Oliver to find Orlando or else he will take away his property Orlando runs through the forest mad with love hanging poems on every tree in Rosalind’s honor Rosalind sees the poems and Celia tells her that they were from Orlando Disguised as “Ganymede”, Rosalind helps Orlando fall out of love under one condition; Orlando treats Ganymede as if he were Rosalind Touchstone meets Audrey and promises to marry her in the forest Rosalind as “Ganymede”, meets Silvius and Phoebe and tries to help Silvius win Phoebes heart. Instead Pheobe falls for Ganymede 7

Synopsis – Act IV Orlando and “Ganymede” continue on their agreement from earlier Oliver enters the forest and finds “Ganyemde “and “Aliena”. He gives them a bloody handkerchief on Orlando’s behalf Oliver explains how Orlando had missed his appointment with Ganymede because he just saved him from a hungry lioness and was wounded 8

Synopsis – Act V Oliver falls in love with “Aliena” and vows to give Orlando all of their father’s Estates once they marry “Ganymede” promises Orlando that he will marry Rosalind and also, promises “Ganymede” will marry Phoebe if he was ever to love a woman Everyone promises to meet the next day for Oliver and “Aliena’s” wedding Rosalind and Celia reveal their true identities and all four couples get married in the forest Duke Frederick and his army set out to find Duke Senior in order to destroy him During this time Duke Fredrick meets a priest who converts him to a peace loving life and decides give up his throne to his brother, Duke Senior 9
