Personal SOAR Analysis Strengths: My advantage over others in the workplace is that I am attending school at the University Of Portland. This school requires business students to take classes from different business fields, and requires an internship that may help guide our careers. My creativity and ambition to succeed are two traits that I feel I have over others. These traits were noticed in my many business projects and group activities. The main factor leading to my success is my ultimate goal of opening my own business. This goal drives me to work hard and excel in what I do, in hopes of eventually opening something great. I feel others consistently help me because of my drive and ambition, and are maybe inspired by my motivation to pursue future goals. Opportunities: I am ultimately blessed with the opportunities that the University of Portland provides for me. Graduating from this school will give me the opportunity to work in higher management levels in certain corporations. Knowing this, I plan on developing relationships with local banks on my island. This will increase my social network, and hopefully increase my chances of getting a job right after graduation. After a couple years of work, I plan on investing in a business opportunity for myself. This will be a small investment that may eventually lead into the opening of a local business. In regards to trends, I am completely aware of the advancements of technology, and the constant additions of government laws, and will embrace them to the best of my ability. Aspirations: I will build my overall strengths solely through work experience. Getting out in the field of work will teach me valuable information that will help me succeed. In 3-5 years, I plan on either having a steady job, or operating the start of my own business. This will take a lot of hard work and valuable time, but can be achieved if I am willing to sacrifice. In the long run, I want people to perceive me as a successful businessman who worked hard to get what he wants, and moved from the bottom of the chain to the top. In the future, technology will change to matters that are merely unimaginable. I hope that I will be able to adapt to these new things, and hope that it will ultimately benefit either the business I am operating, or the company that I am working for. Results: In this world, I hope to make a slight difference in how small businesses are perceived. I am tired of seeing big corporations such as Home Depot and K-Mart shut down the smaller, local businesses. I want to prove that businessmen can make it past these corporations, and can pursue in their dreams. To me, success looks like running a steady business, and living a well off life. I am not looking to be wealthy, but I am looking to either have a job or business that will grant me the satisfaction of comfortable living. The measure of success that is most important to me is the happiness I have with my business endeavors. I feel if I am happy with a job that I have, or am happy about a business I run, then success has already been reached.

Personal Development Plan Mission I hope to either have a steady, but profitable job, or open a small business on the island of Guam. The business I aspire to open is either a local bar or lounge in the area, or a local restaurant. My ultimate goal is to succeed, no matter if it is from a job I love or business I open.
