Introducing Ageing Populations 23/02/12 I will learn differences between MEDCs and LEDCs in population growth, population pyramids and stage reached in the Demographic Transition model by analysing population pyramids and living graphs. Subject Objective I will learn to MANAGE INFORMATION by practising how to categorise it. Competence Objective Starter task! Label your population pyramids as MEDC or LEDC. Write one sentence underneath each one justifying your choice. TIME FOR THESE ACTIVITIES: 15 minutes

ANSWERS TIME FOR THESE ACTIVITIES: 5 minutes BUT WHY?

Using the information on your sheet, sort the cards into categories. There must be a minimum of three groups and a maximum of six. Feedback. What categories did you use? Why did you choose these categories?
