To incorporate the gender dimension in policies, programmes and trade union projects, institutional capacity-building of the trade unions is required as well as the allocation of economic resources for the application of concrete actions in terms of gender and social security.

Union leaders should be committed to actively changing the policies, rules, symbols, discourses, structures and daily practices that can enhance or maintain inequalities in general and specifically on social security. Analyze the trade union organizations’ structures of Peru, the role women have in the same, the allocation of responsibilities and the value given to women’s contributions.

Promote measures to grant equal to meet the needs of women domestic workers, indigenous people, migrants and workers in the informal economy.

All of which can be a source of job discrimination and access to effective social protection.
