Agenda for Unit 2 We encourage you to attend the graded seminar as an active participant. If you cannot attend you may submit the alternate assignment to the unit Seminar dropbox.

Agenda for Unit 2 In this week’s seminar we will discuss IPS signatures types, actions, and triggers. Some key topics for this week’s seminar include: Signature types (atomic and stateful) Signature triggers (pattern based, anomaly- based, and behavior-based) Signature actions

Agenda for Unit 2 Remember, if you do not participate in the weekly Seminar, to complete the Flexible Learning Activity (FLA) Assignment.

Agenda for Unit 2 It is to your benefit to attend the weekly seminars at the scheduled times. If you are unable to attend the seminar, you must review the course materials for the unit (text, e-text, web readings, etc.) and complete an alternative assignment. After reviewing the course materials, you must write a paper that must be a minimum of 2 pages and no more than 3 pages in length. It will be double- spaced.

Agenda for Unit 2 This paper must address the following topics: Discuss the main topics of the unit’s course material. What were the basic terms and principles introduced in the unit’s course material? What element of intrusion detection was introduced? How and when would you use it? Once completed, submit the paper to the Unit 2 Seminar Dropbox.
