 To self determine whether you are eligible to apply there are 2 BOT Questionnaires located on SharePoint that must be complete:  ault.aspx ault.aspx Basic Eligibility:  Non-Rated (non-flying) Are you able to graduate, meet a board and commission prior to the age 35?  Rated applicants: Are you able to graduate, meet a board and enter BOT prior to the age of 29 and one month of age?  Must have a bachelor’s degree or can apply if 365 days away from B.S./B.A.  Have your unit commander’s approval/recommendation.  Be a US Citizen.  Ineligible answers on questionnaire 1, you are ineligible to apply.  Questionnaire 2 lists disqualifiers that may be waiverable. Waivers will require your commander to sign the bottom of Questionnaire 2. Rated vs Non-Rated  You will determine which officer AF specialties (AFSC) you are eligible for by reviewing the Rated and Non-rated Subprogram Eligibility Criteria (atch 6 SharePoint) and Entry level Line Officer AF Specialty Criteria chart (atch 7 SharePoint )  You must pay close attention to all the restrictions in Atch 6, which contains such items as exams, scores, degree titles if ABET accreditation is required. See slide 14 for ABET information. GPA for rated is 2.5, GPA for non rated is 3.0.  Rated has 4 sub-catagories: Pilot, Combat System Officer, Air Battle Management and Remotely Piloted Aircraft Pilot. Degree requirement is any BA/BS or higher degree/  Non Rated has 36 AFSCs listed which include technical and non technical. Each AFSC lists specific degree requirements.

Exams: BARKSDALE AFB BASE TRAINING AND EDUCATION SERVICES Success through bridging Education and Training Officer Training School Eligibility (OTS)  Pilot Applicants must take the Test of Basic Aviation Skills (TBAS) and the Air Force Officer Qualification Test ( AFOQT) exams. The TBAS, AFOQT pilot score and applicant’s flying hours are combined to calculate the PCSM score. Additional flight hours will increase the PCSM score.  All BOT/OTS applicants must take the AFOQT exam. See atch 6 for scores required for each AFSC.  See slide 22 for more information regarding the TBAS or AFOQT, and how to schedule the exams. Other Points: -Take time to fill out your application. You must ensure your package is submitted prior to the cut off date and is accurate. -Plan ahead, to not wait to the last minute. - Read over all instructions and have other people review your package.

BARKSDALE AFB BASE TRAINING AND EDUCATION SERVICES Success through bridging Education and Training Nurse Education Commissioning Program (NECP) The NECP offers active duty enlisted personnel the opportunity to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. To apply must have completed 59 semester hours of graded college coursework from a regionally accredited college or university Prerequisites are: General Psychology, Anatomy and Physiology I & II (labs required), Microbiology (lab required), Chemistry I & II (labs required), Nutrition, & Statistics. Plans of study for Nursing program must be loaded by the Education Center, please make an appointment. You will need transcripts for all previous college coursework. New guidelines are posted annually in November NECP board is normally held the second week of May. About students are selected each year

BARKSDALE AFB BASE TRAINING AND EDUCATION SERVICES Success through Education and Training Nurse Education Commissioning Program (NECP) - Students selected for NECP who haven’t achieved E-5 will be paid E-5 grade pay. All others paid in accordance with their current grade. Active Duty Service Commitment is 4 years An approved plan of study is required to demonstrate the ability to complete the academic requirements for the entry level BSN degree within 24 months or less. Need a letter of acceptance from a nationally accredited nursing school. Must attend a school that has an AFROTC Detachment Maximum amount of time allotted for NECP is 24 consecutive calendar months and student must attend school on a full-time, year round basis beginning in the fall. –NECP student scholarships cover tuition and fees up to $15,000 per year in addition to an annual textbook allowance of $600. Can not use GI Bill, Scholarships or self payment to supplement tuition.
