Why Study Children?

I. To understand children A. You will more fully appreciate all characteristics of human development. 1. child development – the study of how children grow in different ways – physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially. 2. Understand why children are dependent, how affection fosters their emotional growth, and he need for guidance. B. your powers of observation improve.
