SUMMARY OF BOOK The novel “The First Part Last” is mainly about a teenage boy named Bobby. Bobby was an average teenager attending parties and hanging out with friends. On Bobby’s 16 th birthday, he found out his girlfriend, Nia, was pregnant. Now Bobby is faced with responsibility of being a single father. Bobby also must make changes on his lifestyle.

THEME OF BOOK  The theme of the novel, "The First Part Last” is informing us on the effects teenage pregnancy brings.

CHARACTERS  The characters of The First Part Last are……  Bobby  Nia  Mom  Fred (Bobby’s father).  J.L  K-Boy  Feather

SETTING  The setting is in New York.

PLOT  Bobby has his 16 th Birthday  Bobby finds out Nia is pregnant  The baby is born but Nia dies  Bobby is left to take care of the baby by himself

CLIMAX  Nia becomes pregnant.

CONFLICT  Nia dies when feather is born, and Bobby is faced with the responsibilities of being a single father.

RESOLUTION  Bobby raises Feather.

STYLE  The style of this novel is informal, dot to the fact It is not business-like, also because there is slang used in this novel.

AUTHORS TONE AND MOOD The tone of this novel is gloomy do to he fact during this novel most of it contain sad occurring's The mood of this novel in my eyes is depressing do to the fact there are so many ups and downs during this book

AUTHORS PURPOSE FOR WRITING THE BOOK  Angela Johnson wrote this book to inform us on teenage pregnancy.

WHAT YOU LEARNED  I learned that teenage pregnancy is a very important matter, and can also effect a teenagers life tremendously
