The Battle of Lexington occurred on April 19, 1775, in Lexington, Massachusetts. This battle began the Revolutionary War. REVOLUTIONARY WAR V.S.

The objective of the British was to destroy supplies in provincial stores in Concord, but to get there they had to cross Lexington.

It is unclear who fired the first shot of the American Revolution but we do know that it was fired at the battle of Lexington. ???
