What is a Green Campus? A green campus is a place where environmentally responsible practice and education go hand in hand and where environmentally responsible tenets are borne out by example It demonstrates its commitment to ecological sustainability through its: ACADEMIC PROGRAMS RESEARCHCAMPUS LIFE PHYSICAL OPERATIONS © Centre for Environmental Research & Education (CERE) 2011

ACADEMIC PROGRAMS Undergraduate and graduate degrees and certificates that have a primary focus on sustainability issues, such as environmental studies, green building, environmental engineering, sustainable development etc. Degrees and courses that incorporate sustainability issues as a core component of their curricula; Study abroad programs that address sustainability in the international context; Informal learning experiences on sustainability topics that target the larger community surrounding the campus. © Centre for Environmental Research & Education (CERE) 2011

RESEARCH Projects that seek to enhance and expand our current understanding of ecosystem health, sustainable resource use, air and water quality; Exploration of values, attitudes & beliefs related to sustainability; Development of applied solutions to large-scale sustainability challenges renewable energy technologies, urban planning, shared resource use; Creation and refinement of tools to cultivate and strengthen sustainable world-views & behaviors.
