What is Trichinosis? It is a parasitic infection caused by eating food contaminated with the larvae of a worm called Trichinella

Who gets this disease? Anyone can get it if they eat raw or under cooked meat(pork and wild game products)

What are some symptoms of this disease? Nausea Diarrhea Vomiting Fever Abdominal discomfort Headache Chills Cough Eye swelling Aching joints

How is it spread? By eating contaminated food It's not contagious

How is it diagnosed? Its diagnosed by a blood test or muscle biopsy
