2 Norovirus The Norovirus goes by many names(stomach flu). It very contagious virus. Symptoms start happening 1 day after you eat the food that contain the virus. It will last about 3 days. During 2007 and 2003, hospitalization were above 20,000 people. Out of the 20,000, about 300 died. Hospitalizations Deaths
