ACTIVITY 1.6 DISCOVER ENGINEERING BY: Michael Torres

WHAT IS ENGINEERING? An engineer is someone who can design something new or someone who can make something that exist & make it better. An engineer needs to know math and science because engineering is a big mixture of them both.

CHEMICAL ENGINEERING Chemical engineering is someone who is good with science, because they need to apply with different type of science, such as chemistry, physics. Chemical engineering usely work with finding new fuels for rockets, ractors &

CIVIL ENGINEERING Civil engineering is when some plan, design,& supervise the construction of facilities in both the public & private sectors. Such as space sateilities, launch facilities, brides, buildings, highways, & dams

ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING Electrical engineering deals with the motion of electrons in metals. Such as finding new ways to make energy or improving it. Electrical engineering make Large electrical systems, motors & generators, power transmission systems, and electrical generation plants. ( some examples)

MECHANICAL ENGINEERING Mechanical engineering apply the principle's of mechanics & energy to the design of machines and devices. Most often associated with devices that moves but includes thermal design or well as HVAC.

MY TYPE OF ENGINEERING If I were to be an engineer I would pick mechanical engineering, because I like to work with auto-mobiles and cars. So basically I would be a mechanic. And also an other reason why I would like to be a mechanic is because if my car get mess up, I don’t need to pay someone els to fix my car I would do it my self and save money.

MY SELECTED ACHIEVEMENT If I were to become a mechanic my few achievement will be to own my own garage, so I can start my own business. And then from their just expand my success thru-out the world.

MAJOR DISCIPLINE THAT INVOLVED WITH MY ACHIEVEMENT I would need to go study auto-mechanic for a couple of years. And then I would study business management, I know how to run a successful business.

IF I WERE AN ENGINEER WITHIN THE DISCIPLINE THAT I CHOSE IN WHICH ENGINEERING GRAND CHALLENGE WOULD YOU LIKE TO WORK ON? I would need to work on my study's and practices on how to handle a auto- mobile. And then I need to work on my business management skill so I can start my own business.

WHY IS A SOLUTION TO THIS CHALLENGE IMPORTANT TO THE WORLD? I think this would solve many problems because auto-mobiles brake down over time or accents happens. And so my business will help people repair their auto-mobiles. Maybe later in the future I could design my own car or improve cars for the people.
