Salt Water Crocodiles By: Bobby Baker

length & weight A salt water crocodiles length can be up to 20 to 30 feet (6 to 7 meter’s) long. Also its weight is 2,200 to 2,640 pounds(1,000 to 1,200 kilograms).

Habitat & lifespan The saltwater crocodile lives in coastal waters and river’s. Its lifespan is about 70 years.

Body temperature & body covering A saltwater crocodile is cold-blooded. Also it is protected by armored skin.

Fun Fact Salt water crocodiles are ambush hunters, hiding beneath the surface of the water and striking without warning. They kill their pray by dragging them into the water to drown them.

Size of groups and number of newborns Saltwater crocodiles travel in small groups. Salt water crocodiles have 40 to 90 eggs a year.

Speed A saltwater crocodile can go up to 11 mph.
