2 -75 % of the Earth’s surface is covered in water.
-Most of all Earth’s ice is polar ice caps and glaciers.

3 Icecaps Sheets of ice that cover parts of the North and South Pole Areas.

4 Fresh Water Water that does not have salt content.
Includes lakes, rivers, streams, swamps, ponds and marshes

5 River Slowly moving body of water

6 Lake Medium size body of water fed by streams

7 Pond Small body of fresh water, with many plants around it.

8 Marsh Small body of fresh water with plants growing out of it.

9 Swamp Small body of fresh water with plants and wildlife living in and around it.

10 Groundwater Less than 1 % of the Earth’s water is underground.
This provides a fresh water source.
