5 Budget of public transport in Tallinn Budget of public transport in Tallinn (2011) – 53 mln. EUR Ca 65% of the public transport traffic run by Tallinn is tax-financed – the rest ca 35% is financed through ticket sales. Total ticket revenue was ca 18 mln EUR (3,5 mln from non-Tallinners) per 2011 year.

6 Possible sources for the financing Merger of two municipal transport companies which run busses plus trams&trolley-busses will save up to 10 mln EUR. The population is constantly growing and we suggest, that this trend will continue. Those living and working in Tallinn will have another strong motivation to register the place of living, thus increasing personal income tax. From water/sewage investments. In 2013 installments to water company for water and sewage system will decrease sharply, releasing ca 8 mln EUR annually. Additional income from car drivers through widening the paid parking area, raising tariffs.
