WV CSO’s M add and subtract 2- and 3-digit whole numbers and money with and without regrouping. M identify, count and organize coins and bills to display a variety of price values from real-life examples with a total value of $100 or less and model making change using manipulatives.

Penny A coin worth one cent..01

Nickel A coin worth five cents..05 Five pennies make a nickel.

Dime A coin worth tens cents..10 Ten pennies make a dime. Two nickels make a dime.

Quarter A coin worth twenty-five cents..25 Twenty-five pennies make a quarter. Five nickels make a quarter. Two dimes and one nickel make a quarter.

Dollar Paper money worth 100 cents. $1.00 One hundred pennies make a dollar. Twenty nickels make a dollar. Ten dimes make a dollar. Four quarters make a dollar.
