Learning Intention We are learning to engage in learning focused conversations to promote equity in all math classrooms. 2

Learning Focused Conversation Working in Triads, have a reflecting conversation based on the Professional Practice you completed in January/February. A Template for Reflecting can be found in Mentoring Matters, p. 43 Roles: Speaker shares a concern Coach questions and paraphrases Scribe records questions and paraphrases Rotate roles when directed 3 minutes for speaker and coach to engage in a conversation while scribe records the questions and paraphrases. 3 minutes for the scribe to share questions and paraphrases and triad to discuss: The types of questions and paraphrases used by the coach. Which question/paraphrase(s) helped the speaker trigger more thoughtful responses?
