GL13 - The Grey Circuit, Washington D.C (System for Information on Grey Literature in Europe) - a European database of bibliographic records in grey literature Produced by 7-15 European member organizations 1980  2005 Hosts: STN International and Silverplatter/Ovid Transfer to an open access environment (DSpace) in 2007 Content: Multidisciplinary Specific fields and information in each record:  English title or keywords  SIGLE classification code  Availability statement SIGLE -> OpenSIGLE

Software and user interface:  DSpace platform at its technical limits (indexing,…, upload of GL preprints)  Absence of features requested by users (export records) Content:  Improve information on access to the document  Add new records  Add links to full text

User interface and administration  Exalead – search engine for the database  In-house developments using php and MySql software for the user interface  Facetted search  Information how to obtain the document more prominent  Export search results as RSS file  Possibility to export records in XML and Zotero Content  New records from 2005 onwards from current partners  Open the database to new European partners  Links to full text for existing records

GL13 - The Grey Circuit, Washington D.C First results on OpenGrey usage Statistics tool : Google analytics and an in-house development Results comparable to summer 2010  visits in September 2011 and  page views ( in 4 months) New : access with mobile devices can be monitored (10 visits per day) OpenGrey records accessed more than times in 4 months (based on simple log count for the record handles)
