Confidential Document 8 System Configurations: 1 of 3 RS232: Simple 1-to1 Direct Connection  The Controller can be connected directly to the PC via serial port RS232

Confidential Document 9 System Configurations:2 of 3 RS485 Bus System: Multiple controllers in series.  Multiple EverAccess controllers can be connected to accommodate larger access control systems. The controllers are connected via RS485.  The System Reader is a critical component of an RS485 bus based system: it allows simple card enrollment and acts as the interface between multiple controllers and the PC. RS485

Confidential Document 10 System Configurations: 3 of 3 TCP/IP Based Network System  The controller can be networked via TCP/IP in order to remotely manage the controller over internet or intranet.  The EverAccess LAN adaptor (part number EA-LAN1) is required to convert RS232 /RS485 signals to TCP/IP  Maximum: 127 Controllers per system TCP/IP WAN/LAN TCP/IP EA-LAN1 Converter Controller 1 Controller 2 RS485

Confidential Document 11 Controller Operations Operations can be performed at the Controller using the keypad and LCD. There are 10 Setting Menus: 1. System Setting 2. Card Setting 3. Reader Setting 4. Door Setting 5. Alarm Setting 6. Alarm Action Setting 7. Extended Alarm Setting 8. Alarm Time Setting 9. Armzone Setting 10. Address Setting

Confidential Document 12 Controller Operations 1. System Setting: In the System Setting Menu, the user can set basic functions:  System date and date Format  Auto Daylight savings time  Time  System Pin  System Arm Pin  Erase all events  Reset all data and setting  Passwords

Confidential Document 13 Controller Operations 2. Card Setting: In the Card Setting Menu, the user can set basic functions:  Add cards  Delete Card or delete all cards  Set cards priorities, including:  Card status setting (enable/disable card)  Access right setting  Group setting  Set card pin setting  Anti Passback (APB) setting  Card Arm Setting (enable/disable arm/disarm function)  Show card number

Confidential Document 14 Controller Operations 3. Reader Setting:  In the Reader Setting Menu, the user can set basic functions:  Keypad setting  Reader to door allocation  System reader setting

Confidential Document 15 Controller Operations 4. Door Setting:  In the Door Setting Menu, the user can set basic functions, such as:  Door setting  Open time setting  Set door hold open time  Set door behavior at fire time

Confidential Document 16 Controller Operations 5. Alarm Setting: In the Alarm Setting Menu, there are three main sub-menus: - Alarm Action Setting Menu: Configures alarm outputs for the main module and the door modules. - Extended Alarm Setting Menu: Configures alarm outputs for the alarm module. - Alarm Time Setting Menu: Configures the time duration of alarm outputs.

Confidential Document 17 Controller Operations 6. Alarm Action Setting: In the Alarm Setting Sub-Menu, configuration for all events is basically the same. For Example: - The upper line indicates which alarm event to configure (e.g. Invalid Card). - The first 8 characters of the lower line are alarm output status of this event for each door. - The 2 characters following the dash are alarm output status on the Main alarm output and Auxiliary alarm output on the main module. - Y indicates the alarm output will activate when triggered. - N indicates there is no alarm output. - R indicates the alarm output is only triggered by the corresponding door module.

Confidential Document 18 Controller Operations 7. Extended Alarm Setting: The Extended Alarm Setting Sub-Menu performs the same functions, except for the alarm module outputs: - The upper line indicates which alarm event to configure. - Each of the 8 characters represents one output on the alarm module. - Y indicates that the alarm is active when triggered - N indicates there is no alarm output

Confidential Document 19 Controller Operations Alarm Triggers The following are the various triggers that can be programmed in the Alarm Action and Extended Alarm options: - Fire Alarm - ARM IN 0 (main controller input) - Zone Alarm 1~8 (alarm module input) - System PIN, Arm PIN, and/or card PIN failure - Remote Alarm - Unknown, expired, or invalid card - Card anti-passback failure - Invalid door - Door forced or held open - Reader lost

Confidential Document 20 Controller Operations 8. Alarm Time Setting: - In the Alarm Time Setting Sub-Menu, the user can reset the alarm or set a certain period of time an alarm output remains active. - Use numeric keys to enter the desired alarm time. - Time duration can be between 0 and 999 seconds. - The default value for all alarm times is 1 minute.

Confidential Document 21 Controller Operations 9. Armzone Setting: Armzones are used to assign alarms to different groups, which can be active according to different schedules. - In the Armzone Setting Menu, user can configure settings such as: - Set active Armzone - Set Arm delay time - ARM delay time: When an arm operation is executed, all active arm zones will enter ARM enabled status only after a certain time delay. - Use numeric keys to enter the desired ARM delay time. - Enter minutes as a 3-digit number 0~999 and seconds as a 2-digit number 0~59.

Confidential Document 22 Controller Operations 10. Address Setting: - Each device connected to the same RS485 bus must have a unique address for the purpose of communications and control. When multiple controllers connect to PC via an RS485 bus, each controller must be assigned a distinct address. - In the Address Setting Menu, the user can set this address setting - Use numeric keys to enter desired address in the range 0000~9999.

Confidential Document 23 Summary Key Selling Points: - Register ANY size project with EverFocus and receive: - System design assistance. - Discount through distribution. - Post installation support. - Simple installations. - Expandable topology.
