What Is Fire Corps? Provides non-operational community support Launched in December 2004 at the White House Newest of five Citizen Corps Partner Programs under DHS Partnership between the IAFC, the NVFC, and the USFA National Advisory Committee represents every major fire service organization in the nation

How Can Fire Corps Help You? Increases capacity of fire/EMS departments Community outreach program Marketing tool Generates “advocates”

Why Take Part In Fire Corps? Allows emergency responders to focus on critical, life-threatening situations Increases departments’ ability to provide additional services to the community and sustain ongoing programs Provides a vital link between department and community
