5 What is SFA? Student Fee Allotment Your chance to request money for the 2016- 2017 academic year Proposed to the Rec Club Council

6 SFA Process Timeline Submit Documents – February 5 by 5pm Presentations to RCC – February 15-19 RCC Deliberations – February 22 – March 18* Clubs informed of SFA/TW – March 25 by 5pm* Appeal Request – April 1* Appeal Hearing – April 4-8* Final Amounts Emailed– April 15*

7 Guidelines To be eligible: – All members paid dues – Meet the deadline of the request (February 5 th ) – Match the amount you received Dues, fundraising, sponsorships, etc.

8 Amount to Request No club may request more than 25% of the club’s previous allocation amount Maximum amount to request – Competitive: $20,000 – Competitive-Recreation: $10,000 – Recreation: $500 – Clubs requesting for the first time cannot ask for more than $1,000

9 Point Evaluation System Funds are requested on a point evaluation system. Categories include: – Years of Experience – Team Success Competition, Travel, Student Leadership, and overall function – GPA – Fundraising/Matching previous SFA – Community Service – Documentation – Member Retention and Success – Fiscal Responsibility – Sportsmanship

10 Items to Submit Club Self-Evaluation Form (Google Form) SFA Funding Request Detailed Sheet (Excel) Presentation Sign up (Google Spreadsheet) Community Service (CCEL – how to video online) Due by 5:00 PM MST, February 5 th, 2016

11 Club Self-Evaluation Form Be as honest as possible If there is a question you don’t know the answer to, contact your manager.

12 Funding Request Detailed Sheet Activity Waiver Requests Trip Expenses Equipment Rental & Maintenance Registration/Entrance Fees Recreational Supplies League Membership Dues Guest Speaker Stipend Office Supplies Printing Costs Facility Charges Apparel and Uniforms Athletic Trainer Home Game Expenses Club Income Membership Dues Entry Fees Ticket Sales Other Income

13 Presentations Email will be sent out for Presentation Sign- Ups – February 15 th – February 19 th, 2016* Presentation will be in front of the Rec Clubs following with a Q&A

14 Receiving Funds Receive an email with an amount decided upon by the RCC – March 25, 2016 Have the option to appeal for more funds – If you choose to appeal, another hearing will occur – Do not lose any funds already awarded – April 4 th – April 8 th, 2016
