3 1 st 2 Days of Battle July 1 & 2, 1863 Lee led the offensive Union held despite significant losses

4 3 rd Day of Battle July 3, 1863 Infantry Assault by 12, 500 Confederates – known as Pickett’s Charge Union beat them back with huge losses for the Confederates Lee retreated back to Virginia
