The police officers decided to investigate the matter by going to Nicky's grandmother's home searching illegal drugs. The grandmother tried to prevent the police from entering into her home. Furthermore, the cops did not have a search warrant. The cops forced their way into the home, and sure enough, some illegal substances were discovered in the sofa of living room.
