5 1. Pre-Reading Read 1 st paragraph, table of contents (or headings), last paragraph. Then focus on those parts relevant to you. Skim or skip other parts.

7 3. Keep Copies Keep copies of any sources you will cite so you can look back at them. Don’t need copies of whole book or article, only relevant sections.
