5 Characters: the people (or animals, things, etc. presented as peoples) that appear in a literary work. Protagonist: main character in a literary work Antagonist: the character (or force) who opposes the protagonist

7 Dynamic Characters Undergo some time of CHANGE in the story because something happens to them

8 Static Characters Do not change over the course of the story

9 PLOT: the structure of the story; show the arrangement of events and actions within a story
