4 Slide 4 of 15 Starter You have a set of statements on the desk in front of you. Discuss each of these statements in turn

6 Slide 6 of 15 Based on the statements and the video… Write a short statement saying how much influence you think TV has on your views and values. EXPLAIN your answer!! Task 1

9 Slide 9 of 15 TV isn’t fair… I don’t think television presents a fair and balanced picture of society as it really is. I don’t like the way older people are shown. Too often they are stereotyped as being useless and out of touch. Also, there aren’t enough programmes featuring people with disabilities. It’s as though they are invisible. There are more people from ethnic minorities reading and reporting the news, but there should be more of them in things like soaps and situation comedies (sit-coms).
