5. On the first day when we arrived to camp the first place we went was the Shrine of remembrance. At the Shrine of Remembrance we got a tour. First we saw the internal flame than was lit by Queen Victoria her self, but sadly we found out the ‘internal flame’ has actually gone out a few times and been relit. We also saw a statue of Simpson and his donkey. The Shrine of remembrance was built to represent the people of Australia who served us in war. The Shrine was not built by the government but by the people of Victoria. In the middle of some schools the students brought along their pocket money and tossed it in the pile. The pile of money was left in the middle of the school day and night never to be touched. On the 11 hour on the 11 day of the 11 month through a crack of the shrine sunlight would shine on the plaque and millions of people would go and see it from all around Australia and mostly Victoria. MY FAVOURITE

6. After the shrine of Remembrance we went off to the Old Melbourne Gaol where we saw where the famous Ned Kelly got buried and also where he got hung. We stood on a basketball court which used to be a small cemetery where Ned Kelly was buried. The old Melbourne gaol had a lot of famous people one them was Ned Kelly. Some kids even went to gaol then because they stole a piece of bread and they were homeless a little kid was three years old and served in gaol which wasn’t good the men cut the wood with axes and women washed clothes and the little boy had to pull the strings off rope and made his soft hands bleed. There were three storeys if you were up at the very top you were close getting out, and the middle was working and the very bottom not getting far.

7. For dinner we went to universal pizza. We had a choice of three different pizzas and two different pastas. On my table we were playing truth or dare and behind us was the boys. After we ate dinner we played Chinese whispers and then came dessert. For dessert we each had a chocolate ice- cream. It was very delicious. The boys behind us were being very silly at one point of the boys through ice at the wall and almost went home.

8. After we had dinner we went to the Eureka sky deck. Most people went on the edge but I did not. Although I enjoyed just looking through the telescopes and looking at all the city lights. I could see Crown the hotel, the Shrine of remembrance and even Urban camp.
