2. Long ago, the cannons fired loudly echoing throughout Saint Augustine. –The city of 3000 people had to live in protection of the castle walls for 50 days.

3. Now its a city that people all over the U.S come to for history, fun, and to see the castle and other cool things. (Like the statue of me)

4. The city was built in 1565, thats 42 years before the pilgrims arrived.

5. The time we got there was about 6:30, so we decided to see the castle the next day. In that case, we went toward Barns and Nobles to get a Calvin and Hobbes book.

6. When we got back too the, hotel my dad called his friend Patrick from Orlando. He came in about 2 hours. I went to bed at 12:00 at night and woke up at 9:00 in the morning.

7. I eagerly put on my clothes and woke my dad and my dads friend Patrick. Once we were all up, we went to the castle.

8. I saw something called the Spanish Code of Arms, thats their symbol or mascot.

9. It has a sheep on the bottom because it was important because it was important because all clothing was wool.

10. The roof of the castle was very windy but it was worth it because there was a cannon firing demonstration. I was surprised how long it took to fire a cannon

11. A cannon can fire up to 3 ½ miles!

12. I got cold, so I went into this place on the roof called the sentry box. It was used to keep lookout soldiers away from harsh weather, but it had windows.

13. After that, we went to the town. It had an ice-cream parlor, the oldest bakery in the U.S., the oldest drugstore and the oldest school house.

14. After we saw the school house and stuff, we went to a light house.

15. It was so high, I felt as if I were climbing a mountain. When I got to the top and looked down, I saw the whole town!

16. We got down and went to the gift shop. I got a ship model.

17. We went to the tournament and I got perfect scores in both weapons and forms. This is the first time Ive got perfect scores in both events.

18. We took a plane home at 5:00 a.m. and then drove back to my house. It felt good to be back.
