7. Palaeontologists study the remains of ALL life forms (including DINOSAURS!) Archaeologists study the remains left behind by humans. Prehistory is the period of time before written records, e.g. books.

10. There are TWO types of SOURCE that we use to find out about the past. PRIMARY and SECONDARY sources. What could we use to find out about the past?

11. A PRIMARY source is something that was written, said or made AT THE TIME of the event by someone who HAS EXPERIENCED it. A SECONDARY source is something that has been written, said or made LATER, by someone who has NOT EXPERIENCED the event. E.G. Primary – A soldier’s diary from WWI E.G Secondary – A school textbook about WWI ACTIVITY
