4. COMMON TERMS GPA – Grade Point Average - based on a 4.0 scale. A – 4.0, B – 3.0, C – 2.0, D – 1.0, F – 0.0 NGA – Numerical Grade Average – 100 points Both of these include ALL courses taken for high school credit.

5. MORE TERMS Transcript – Document that displays all classes with grades taken for high school credit. Community Service – work or service done without pay – volunteer work.

10. WHAT ARE WE DOING TO HELP GUIDE YOUR STUDENTS? Scheduling - Spring semester Students are given a checklist with a graduation progress page. Students then enter their course requests based on what they need to fulfill their graduation requirements. Students can not receive credit for a course more than one time. Counselors assist with this process.

11. WHAT ARE WE DOING TO HELP GUIDE YOUR STUDENTS? ACT Upcoming test date reminders are sent through Remind 101 and EVTV. 2 Fee waivers are available for students with free or reduced lunch. This waiver does not cover late fees. Students sign in to see counselors to receive them. FREE ACT TO ALL JUNIORS ON APRIL 19

12. WHAT ARE WE DOING TO HELP GUIDE YOUR STUDENTS? ICAP Every student in the school must complete a section.

13. COUNSELING OFFICE PROCEDURES We have a clipboard outside the counseling office for students to sign up to see us. We send for students the first chance we get. Students should not wait until the day something is needed to sign in to see us. There are times we are out for meetings, etc.
