2 First time users are strongly encouraged to view the TABE Tutorial
to ensure valid scores. Access it from the “Help” link.

3 When you’re ready to start, click “Schedule Test.”

4 Choose a test from the Test Group drop-down menu.
(Notice that you can assign a tutorial for students.)

5 Click the Circle next to the test or tutorial to select the test.

6 Test Administration Site – Auto Locator
The Auto Locator automatically assigns the correct level of difficulty for all assigned subtests in the Survey or Complete Battery. 6 6

7 Scroll down to change the test options.

8 See the User Guide, under Help, for complete information about
required student test access codes. The access code for this test is BEIGE45322.

9 Once you’ve made your changes, click Next to continue.

10 After clicking Next, scroll down to Options to select your test settings:
Name the test session; specify start/end dates, select time zone, and specify test location.

11 Click to Add Students.

12 Select your Organization (which shows how many students you’ve registered),
and click OK.

13 Now click the Add Students button to assign the test to specific students.

14 The name of my “school” is Jerry McCanna Demo, and it has 23
registered students.

15 Select Add All Students, or check the box next to the names of
specific students who should take this test.

16 When finished adding students, click “OK.”

17 Next, assign who will proctor the test.

18 Print the test session document that contain the students’ login information.

20 Click Finish to confirm that this test is to be assigned.

If you haven’t already done so, you will need to install the testing software on the machines that will be used by students to take the test.

22 You can now review or edit the test session that you have just assigned.

23 When a student is ready to test, s/he will need to click on the
McGraw-Hill Online Assessment icon. No other program can be running.

Student Logon Page Double-click the Red icon on the desktop The student accesses the test session by double-clicking the “Online Assessment” icon located on the PC/Workstation. Test module can only be accessed by Logon, Password, and Test Access code. The access code should not be given to the students until the students are seated at the test site computers and the students are ready to login. Student Login Name and Password is provided on Student “Individual Test Ticket” and available on “Summary Sheet” printout for the Test Proctor. The Test Proctor will provide the Test Access code to the test taker. The Test Access Code is available on the “Summary Sheet” printout and is created during the Test Scheduling process. Student Test Environment The Test Module automatically sizes to the user’s screen. The user’s desktop content is “Locked Down” when the test content is presented. A test must be completed to “Unsecure” a system. Files posted to CTB’s website are protected by PGP™ encryption technology. CTB complies with the Children’s Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) for delivery and protection of student data collected or delivered online.

37 Finally, if you are also using ITTS, you can import students’ TABE scores from
TABE Online into the ITTS program. This auto-creates the students’ Individualized Study Plans.
