1 AIMSweb Benchmark Online Training For AIMSweb Teacher Users
AIMSweb Benchmark online Teacher User training is intended as a review for AIMSweb Benchmark Teacher Users and is not intended for new Benchmark Teacher Users.

2 Overview: This review highlights the features of the Benchmark Classroom System. After this training, you will be proficient in navigating the AIMSweb Benchmark System.

4 Logging into the AIMSweb System
Login to your AIMSweb Benchmark account at In the upper right corner of the AIMSweb website, click the Customer Login button. Enter your Customer ID, Username, and Password (provided to you by Pearson) and click the Login button.

5 Managing Your Benchmark Classroom
Click the tab to begin. Use the Timeframe drop down menu to select the Benchmark or Strategic Monitor period you wish to view. Click the button once the timeframe is selected.

6 From the Benchmark Classroom home page, you can view Benchmark Reports, add students, update student information, download PDF scoring sheets, enter or edit student scores, and add comments or qualitative features.

7 Add students to your class list or edit an existing student by clicking the Add Student button to display the Manage Students window.

8 The Manage Students window appears in two sections: Add a Student and Student List. Existing students will appear in the student list on the right and new students are added on the left.

9 Add a new student using the Add a Student column
Add a new student using the Add a Student column. Enter the student’s information (required fields are red) and click the Add button. Search for an existing student by entering in any search criteria and clicking the Search button.

10 The student will appear in the student list and be automatically added to your Benchmark classroom.

11 Edit an existing student by clicking the student’s name in the student list.

12 After clicking the name in the Student List, the student information appears in the left column. Update the student’s information and click the Save button.

13 To delete a student, search for the student, if necessary, so the student is displayed on the Student List. Click the check box next to the student’s name. Then, click the Delete button. Only students who are not enrolled in a Benchmark Class without Benchmark Scores can be deleted.

14 When you have finished managing students, click the Home button to return to the My Classes home page.

15 From the My Classes tab, you can download and print a scoring sheet for your entire classroom. You can print the page and use it to organize student assessment scores before they are entered. Click the Score Sheet button to download the PDF file. You will need Acrobat Reader to view the page. Use the Paper link to download and print standard score sheets on regular paper. Logitech io Pen customers will use the Logitech Pen link to download and print score sheets on SmartPaper.

16 Next, select the measures you would like to include on your score sheet.
Use the check boxes next to each measure to make your selection. Then, click the Generate button to generate a PDF score sheet for printing.

17 Entering Benchmark Scores
To enter student scores, click the Edit Scores button.

18 The assessment score entry page displays
The assessment score entry page displays. From here, you have two options that impact score entry. Click to enter scores vertically for one General Outcome Measure (GOM) at a time or click again (which changes to ) to enter scores horizontally for all GOMS.

19 Select the GOM-type from the tabs at the top of the scoring page
Select the GOM-type from the tabs at the top of the scoring page. Next, enter student scores under the appropriate GOM. Click the Quick-Save button to save the scores in intervals or click the Save button to save the scores and return to the My Classes home page.

20 After scores have been entered and saved, a page icon appears next to each student’s name. From here, you can enter Qualitative Features and Notes. Click the page icon to add notes.

21 Viewing Classroom Reports
From the My Classes tab, you can view different Benchmark reports. If you have entered student scores they will be listed under the column headings for each GOM.

22 Click a student’s score to view the Student Benchmark Scores Report
Click a student’s score to view the Student Benchmark Scores Report. Click the GOM column heading to generate a Benchmark Scores Report for the entire classroom.

23 Student Pathway Reports are also available
Student Pathway Reports are also available. The Pathway Report displays the scores for all GOMS. Click the Report link under the column to view this report.

24 You can also access seven classroom level reports, available for each GOM. Click the icons to view each report.

25 Logging Out of the AIMSweb System
When you are finished using the AIMSweb system, click the Logout button. Then, click OK on the confirmation window. For security purposes, we strongly recommend closing your browser after you have logged out.
