1 Montgomery Parks, M-NCPPC Volunteer Services Office  Log Your Hours Online  View & Edit Your Volunteer Profile Hi and thanks for volunteering with Montgomery Parks! To manage the thousands of volunteers in parks, we use an online volunteer management software program you can access at anytime. We have prepared this training module to help you: Our system is designed for use with Internet Explorer or Firefox. If you have any questions or problems, please talk to your Volunteer Manager or call the Volunteer Services Office at 301-495-2504.

2 Logging Your Hours Online  Go to the Montgomery Parks Volunteer web site: www.ParksVolunteers.orgwww.ParksVolunteers.org  Click on "Volunteer Login". You may need to scroll down to see this.  Login using your user ID and password.  On the right menu, click "Report my service/ Fill out a survey"  "Report my Service" appears, along with "Select a survey"  Click on "Select a Survey"  You should see a list of your jobs. Highlight the job you wish to report.  Select "Individual Log Book Entry" for the job on which you wish to report.  Choose start and end dates; there is no need to fill in the time.  Fill in total hours, rounding up to the nearest half-hour (ex. 32.5). Please do not add text to this field.  Fill in the number of miles you traveled for this job, if you want to report this for your taxes.  There is no need to fill in "What project did you work on?" unless you worked on a Special Project or want to keep this information for your own records.  Click OK.  Please complete a separate report for each distinct volunteer job.

4 Enter your User ID and Password (If you can’t remember, give us a call) Then click the Log In button

5 You will get a welcome message and can now access several features in the Volunteer Menu box on the right. Select “Report My Service”

6 Select a job by clicking on it

7 Select the date(s) of service. (Do not worry about the times)

8 Fill in the number of hours worked in the job.

9 If you want, you can track your mileage for tax purposes.

10 Click OK

11 Your hours and miles will be added to your Log Book.

12 Click this button to add more hours to that job or to select another job for which you have hours.

13 View Your Log Book  Go to the Montgomery Parks Volunteer web site: www.ParksVolunteers.orgwww.ParksVolunteers.org  Click on "Volunteer Login".  Login using your user ID and password.  On the right Volunteer Menu, click “View My Log Book“

14 You can check your log book by selecting View My Log Book in the Volunteer Menu.

15 Updating Your Volunteer Profile  Go to the Montgomery Parks Volunteer web site: www.ParksVolunteers.orgwww.ParksVolunteers.org  Click on "Volunteer Login".  Login using your user ID and password.  On the right Volunteer Menu, click “Edit My Profile “ and check your:  Phone  E-mail  Street Address  Click SUBMIT button at bottom of the page

17 Enter your User ID and Password (If you can’t remember, give us a call) Then click the Log In button

18 Select “Edit My Profile” in the Volunteer Menu box on the right.

19 Check your information and correct as needed. Please check: Phone Email address Street Address BE SURE to scroll to the bottom of the page and click “SUBMIT” to save your changes!!!
