Adverbs are words that modify verbs, adjectives, and other adverbs.
I walked slowly down the street.
Bill Is marvelously intelligent.
She will arrive very early.

6. Adjectives to Adverbs
In English, we can often turn an adjective into an adverb by adding –ly to the adjective.
That’s an easy exam.
You can pass that exam easily.
We were given a warm welcome.
We were welcomed warmly.
This can be done in Latin, too.

7. Adjectives to Adverbs
To change an adjective of the first and second declension into an adverb, add –ē to its stem.
stultus => stultē
pulcher => pulchrē

8. Adjectives to Adverbs
To change a an adjective of the third declension into an adverb, add –iter or –ter to its stem.
fortis => fortiter
audāx => audacter

9. magnus => magnopere
