What are the different types of camera angles?  There are many different types of camera angles. Its basically the mean of the camera angle and subject. Below are listed the different types of camera angles.. 1) Eye-Level 2) High Angle 3) Low Angle 4) Bird’s Eye 5) Slanted An eye-level angle is the most common. It’s the way we expect and see things in the real world. If you look to the left, you will see a picture of a butterfly shot from an eye-level angle. A high angle, is shot from above. The camera is usually angled down. It usually makes the object less powerful and it wouldn’t really show how it would appear in real life. If you take a look to the left, you will see a black and white image & as you see its shot from above. A low angle shot is shot from below making the subject or object look bigger in size. The image of the palm tree, as you can see is shot from a low angle. A bird’s eye shot is basically shown from directly above. Its usually shot for a dramatic effect showing a specific perspective. As you can see, the picture of the city is shown from a bird’s eye view. A slanted angle is also known as a Dutch tilt. It is when the angle is tilted to a specific angle and its usually used also for a dramatic effect.

Different Camera Shots There are many different camera shots. Some examples of the different shots are...  Mid Shot  Close up  Cut-In  Cutaway  Over-The-Shoulder Shot  Noddy Shot  Point-Of-View These are seven of the different camera shots. On the left side I will pose some examples.

Types of Photography There are many different types of photography. Some types of different photography are…  Photography in which creative composition is the goal.  Space photography, through a telescope.  Landscapes, animals, plants, sea, etc. My favorite type of photography is ‘Photography in which creative composition is the goal’. On the left there are examples of the different types of photography that I listed above.

What are the components of the camera? Listed on the right are the six different components of the camera. There is body, lens, aperture, shutter, viewfinder, and transport. These different components are what make up pictures.  Body  Lens  Aperture  Shutter  Viewfinder  Transport

Types of Camera The SLR allows you to change lenses for different purposes. This is one of the most popular type of camera. The Viewfinder or Rangefinder separate the lens. It also sees the same image and the main lens. The twin reflex camera has two lenses; one for the photograph and one for the viewfinder. A view camera is a flexible bellows that joins two standards; one with the lens and the other with the viewfinder or film. It is also one of the oldest cameras. The pinhole camera is a very simple camera without a lens. There are 5 different types of a camera.  SLR (Single Lens Reflex)  Viewfinder/Rangefinder  Twin Reflex  View  Pinhole

The Subject and Frame When photographing something you want to make sure that you want to include the subject or the subject and the background. For example, when photographing a flower, you may want to photograph it up close so the background doesn’t cause to much distraction. Be aware of what you want to capture. When trying to photograph something, you want to be aware of the frame because you want to see if you want to include the background, or include a small proportion of the background, or cut off the background completely. For example, in the second image; 1 st one, you see that a small proportion of the background person is cut off. In the second one, you see that the whole background is cut off. In the last one you see that the subject is included along with the background.

Angles One of the most common ways to make a picture look dramatic is to shoot it from a specific angle. For example, if you compare the two pictures on the left with each other, you will see that each one has its own effect. The first picture is of the road but the second picture is the same picture but is shot from a different angle. The second picture makes you feel as if you are driving on the road.

Balance When you hear the word balance, what do you think of? Do you think of symmetry, or do you think of how something is balanced? Balance can be how the subject is in position or how the colors are balanced. On the picture on the right, there are balanced pebbles. Not only is the subject in the photo balanced, but so are the colors. You can see that there are dark colors against light which are balanced together.

Using Lines in Photographic Composition Different lines have different effects. For example…  Vertical lines emphasis strength, power, and height.  Horizontal lines emphasis width, stability, and security.  Diagonal lines have a more dramatic, dynamic effect than vertical and horizontal.  Curved lines reflect nature, relaxation, sensuality, and etc.
