3 CONJUNCTIONS A CONJUNCTION is a word that joins words, phrases, or sentences. Jack and the beanstalk Jack’s mother scolded Jack yet gave him the responsibility to sell the cow. Jack took the cow to town, and he sold it for five beans.

4 Ever heard of FANBOYS? FANBOYS: for, and, nor, but, or, yet, so
FANBOYS are called coordinating conjunctions. They are most commonly used.

The seven dwarfs worked hard. They whistled while they worked. Snow White took a bite out of the poisoned apple. She didn’t die because of the prince’s kiss. The prince kissed Snow White. She would live.
